Staying Strong Update

I have been doing artwork in my scrapbook to accompany Demi Lovato's book 'staying strong 365 days a year', recently with being unwell I haven't managed to keep it up but it will be back, I haven't stopped, as soon as I have the time and energy I will post more :)

Staying Strong January 3rd

So the message for today was "every life has a purpose. Share your story and you may help someone find their own." The goal set was to stand up for those who can't yet. Give them support and strength.
I was going to share my story but it is not uplifting nor inspiring at this moment in time, until I'm recovered or there is at least a hopeful ending, I don't think my story will particularly help people. Instead, I decided to write little achievements down, achievements that may possibly encourage others to fight their illness or at least realise the possibilities that are out for them.

Staying Strong January 2nd

The goal for today was to go somewhere you haven't been before, living in a small town made this difficult especially as I don't drive so I walked a different way to the bus station and found this little spot of beauty. The canal had flooded into this little area of trees and the sun was shining off of it, nature is a huge greater force, it has the power to kill living creatures or to enable living creatures to survive and yet it also capable of beautiful things small and large. Pretty incredible right?

I suppose the message from today is to appreciate the area you live in more, there is always beauty around you as long as you open your eyes to see it. It's what YOU make of a place and the way YOU see a place that makes it beautiful or not.

Staying strong January 1st

I invested in Demi Lovato's book 'staying strong 365 days a year'. I'm not normally one for celebrity books but her story inspires me and I love how she is recovered and a healthy normal size and weight, such a good role model.
Anyway so in today's part of the book Demi wrote about her mantra, "you are beautifully and wonderfully made" and the goal set was to come up with one's own mantra.
I chose, "Be yourself for that is who you were born to be" because I struggle with confidence and low self esteem and often find myself holding back and hiding away in social situations but there is only one of me, the same as there is only one of you. Why waste that? Embrace it.
